Jenna Burchell is entering her seventh year as a music educator, and she is in her third year as the Director of Orchestras at Lake Belton High School.

Mrs. Burchell received a Bachelor's of Music in Orchestral Music Education from the University of North Texas. She studied under Dr. Elizabeth Chappell and acted as a lead teacher in the UNT String Project. She also served as the vice president of the UNT ASTA chapter, and presented at the 2018 national ASTA convention in Atlanta, Georgia. A lifelong learner, Mrs. Burchell is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Orchestra Directors Association, Texas Music Adjudicators Association, and American String Teachers Association.

 

Prior to her position at Lake Belton High School, she was the director of orchestras at both Lake Belton and North Belton Middle Schools. Mrs. Burchell's orchestras have received Sweepstakes at UIL throughout all seven of her teaching years. She is passionate about the Belton ISD orchestra program, as well as its hardworking students and their commitment to excellence. She loves sharing her love of music with her students.

Mrs. Burchell enjoys spending time with her husband, Jacob, and their baby boy, Ellis. Her hobbies outside of music include art, playing video and board games, and spending time in nature.
